Workshop (0 hrs)

Currently I have a three car garage with a large storage attic. The third bay isn’t used and has a larger door. I’m planning to set that area up as my workshop. I have a really nice workbench already and a large Kobalt tool chest (rolling with 3 stacked chests). The problem with the tool chest is that it is almost full of conventional tools. I know there are several drawers that have larger items that could be better stored elsewhere. A lot could be done to better consolidate and organize the tools that are in there now. I’m thinking that I won’t need anymore space… I will be better served to organize and label everything. Many of my current standard tools need to be replaced, so this might be a good opportunity to start moving in that direction.

My workbench will not work so well for some of the metal work. I’d like to build a few of the standard benches specifically for the project.

First post (0 hrs)

Welcome to my blog! This is my very first post and it will be short and sweet.

I’ve decided to build an airplane. A daunting task that is sure to take me the next several years. I welcome any assistance or suggestions anyone may have.

I do not intend this blog to provide a “how to” on building an RV. On occasion I may post tips, problems, or things I’ve learned, but the real reason I’m doing the blog is simply to share the experience with others.

I am motivated to keep this blog updated by the excellent work of so many builders who have detailed their work online. Great information is available on www.vansairforce.com and on so many great builder sites. The best site I’ve come across is www.rvplane.com, and I highly recommend Mike’s site for anyone building or interested in building an RV.

At the moment my blog is private. I intend to make it public as soon as I make my first purchase.
